Elijah Canlas remembers late brother JM in emotional IG post: 'I miss you always'
Elijah Canlas is still missing his late brother JM.
On Instagram, the actor shared a nostalgic clip featuring a heartwarming moment from his childhood with JM and their older brother, Jerom.
In the caption, Elijah shared how much he always misses JM.
“Sometimes, I close my eyes to reminisce about you. Other times I open them to imagine you beside me. Your voice and image are still so vivid to me. I miss you always, JM. Lagi’t lagi kang nasa puso’t isip. Tatlo tayo habambuhay,” he wrote.
JM passed away in August 2023 at 17 years old. The cause of death was not named, but his family said that he struggled with his mental health.
On JM's first death anniversary in 2024, Elijah penned a touching letter honoring his memory and a few months after that, Elijah attended Olivia Rodrigo’s Philippine concert in October 2024 in honor of JM, who was a big fan of the artist.
In March, Elijah wrote a touching letter for his brother’s birthday.
JM is best known for appearing in the films “Kiko Boksingero” and “ANi.” He was also a voice actor and was part of the Tagalog dub of “Coco,” “Stranger Things,” “Home Alone,” “Extraction,” “Little Einsteins,” and many more.
