Fancy a bridal jeep? This bride took a jeep to her wedding due to high floods

This bride took a jeep to her own wedding!

Glaiza Mae Ventanilla-Solomon had quite the journey before she tied the knot with her now husband, Jan Lester Solomon.

According to Oscar Oida’s report on “State of the Nation,” the couple was met with a beautiful sunny day on their wedding day, but floods remained high in the area.

The driver of Glaiza’s bridal car backed out from picking her up, with fear of getting stuck in the flood.

So Glaiza's event coordinator did the next best thing, hailing a passenger jeep to take the bride and her entourage to the church..

In her own video from her wedding day, Glaiza is seen inside the jeep and holding her hair in place, saying "instead of bridal car, bridal jeep!"

The wedding went on as planned after that with Glaiza and Jan happily exchanging I Do's.

In a video interview with “SONA” after the wedding, Glaiza said “Lumaki naman po akong commuter so sabi ko, wala naman pong problema kung jeep.”

While lighthearted and even fun — ooh, a bridal jeep! — the couple had a serious and valid comment to say for how their wedding day transpired.

“Sana way before, meron nang long-term and short-term goals ‘yung local government para maibsan ‘yung pagbaha,” Jan said.

"Parang nasanay na lang yung mga tao na every time umuulan nang malakas, babaha kaagad tapos matagal bago humupa," Glaiza and Jan said, finishing each other's sentences. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
