Jessica Sanchez welcomes first child
Jessica Sanchez is now a mom!
In an Instagram post, the singer revealed that she and her husband Rickie Gallardo welcomed their first child, Eliana Mae Gallardo, on October 13.
“From one dream season to the next. This time, the most precious one yet,” Jessica said in her caption.
“We are grateful beyond words for our baby girl, for the gift of motherhood, and for the love that grows deeper every day,” the “America’s Got Talent” winner added.
In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Jessica gushed over being a mom. “The moment I held her, everything around me just stopped. It's the kind of love you can't explain — that fills every part of you all at once."
"These first few days have been emotional, sleepless, beautiful...everything I dreamed of and more. We chose the name Eliana because it means 'God has answered,' and that's exactly how she feels. Our answered prayer, our reminder of grace and purpose," she added.
"I'm healing, learning and soaking in every second with her. My heart has never been this full."
Jessica announced her pregnancy during her “America’s Got Talent” audition, before she was given the Golden Buzzer by Sofia Vergara.
In the finale episode of the competition, the Filipino-American singer delivered a powerful performance of “Golden Hour” by JVKE.
The singer first went on "America's Got Talent" at 10 and reached the semi-finals. She rose to fame as the runner-up in "American Idol" Season 11 in 2012.
In 2013, she returned to the "American Idol" stage to promote her debut single "Tonight."
