Derek Ramsay pens heartfelt letter to daughter Liana on her first birthday

Derek Ramsay is all love for his daughter Liana on her first birthday.

Sharing snaps of Lilyput, as he calls his daughter with Ellen Adarna on Instagram, the actor penned a heartfelt letter for his daughter.

"My sweet Lilyput," Derek began. 

“I can hardly believe a whole year has gone by since I first held you in my arms. It feels like just yesterday that I looked into your tiny eyes and felt my entire world shift. From that moment on, you became the center of my heart, my purpose, my forever,” he said.

According to Derek, watching Liana grow over the past year “has been the greatest joy” of his life. He is thankful for every smile, every little giggle, every “papa” milestone he's had with Liana.

“Even the quiet moments when you're simply resting in my arms have filled me with a kind of love I didn’t know was possible. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I thank life every day for the gift of you,” he wrote.

Derek promised Liana that he would do everything for her, and will always be here to hold, guide, protect and comfort her.

“My love for you is endless, unconditional, and unshakable. No matter how big you get, no matter where life takes you, you will always have a home in my heart,” Derek said.

The proud dad ended his post by expressing how grateful he is to be her parent, and said he looks forward to seeing the person Liana will grow up to be.

“You are my sunshine, my little miracle, my everything. I am so proud to be your parent. And I cannot wait to watch you grow into the incredible person I already know you are becoming. Well, let's not rush the growing up part. Love you!!” he said. 

Earlier on Instagram, Ellen took marked Liana’s birthday by posting birthday portraits of her daughter. “Can’t believe my baby girl is already 1! “Mama loves you inday lengleng.”

In September, Derek shut down split rumors involving him and Ellen, saying "there's no truth to anything that was said. That's it." 

Back in August, Derek also called out fake news circulating about their family. "Stop spreading lies about my family!" he said. "Lily is my daughter, and Ellen is a loyal wife!"

The couple got married in 2021, after a whirlwind romance. Three years later, they welcomed Liana aka Lilyput aka Lengleng.

Derek has a son, Austin, with ex-wife Mary Christine Jolly, while Ellen has a son, Elias, with ex-partner John Lloyd Cruz.
