Dennis Trillo speaks up on why he defended stepson Jazz from bashers

Dennis Trillo is a protective father to his stepson Jazz, the child of his wife Jennylyn Mercado with her former boyfriend Patrick Garcia.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the King of Talk asked the actor about the time that Dennis defended Jazz from bashing online.

"'Yun ay natural instinct ng magulang pero more than that hindi lang naman 'yun para kay Jazz kundi para sa lahat ng mga kagaya niya, na hindi mangyayari 'yun sa kanila, na huwag silang maapi kahit saan mang platform," he said.

Jazz, 17, has special needs.

Even before Dennis married Jennylyn in 2021, he has been a doting dad to Jazz. In 2020, Dennis dressed up as Blippi, a popular American children's entertainer and educator, for Jazz's 12th birthday.

Dennis also has an 18-year-old son, Calix, with his ex-girlfriend Carlene Aguilar. He and Jennylyn, meanwhile, have a daughter together: three-year-old Dylan.

Dennis and Jennylyn currently star in GMA Prime series "Sanggang-Dikit FR," which has been extended to next year. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
