Emman Atienza's family and friends gather at her wake

Kuya Kim, the entire Atienza family, and their close friends have gathered to mourn Emmanuelle "Emman" Atienza.

According to Vicky Morales' report on "24 Oras Weekend," her wake begun on Sunday for family and friends.

Kuya Kim recalled immediately falling to his knees upon receiving news about Emman.

"Paggising ko sa umaga, chineck ko telepono ko. Ang sabi ni Fely, 'Kim, I have terrible, terrible news'," he began.

"The first thing I did, napaluhod ako — lumuhod muna ako. Sabi ko. 'Lord, sana hindi ito tunay. Sana nag-attempt [lang]. Sana nasa opistal [lang]."

He called his wife who confirmed that "Emman is gone."

"Nanlambot talaga ako nuon," Kim continued, adding the only thing he feared has happened.

"Kung meron akong isang bagay na kinatatakutan ko, s? buong buhay ko, ito yon," he said.

In his interview, he also recalled the very first GMA Gala back in 2022, when he took Emman as his date. "Siya yung date ko. I remember Emman, she was so beautiful that night in her black dress. I was so proud of her because she was so beautiful."

"Debut niya yon. Sabi pa niye, 'this is my very first red carpet in my life.' And that night was just so beautiful."  

Emman's wake will open to the public beginning 12 p.m. today at Chapel 5 of Heritage Park in Taguig. 

Kuya Kim's full interview with Vicky Morales meanwhile will air on "24 Oras" Monday.

Kuya Kim and their family announced Emman's death last October 24. She was 19 years old.

In his interview with Jessica Soho, aired on "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" Sunday, he remains grateful for the "19 beautiful years" of Emman.
