Taecyeon of 2PM to wed longtime girlfriend in 2026
Taecyeon of 2PM is set to marry his longtime girlfriend next year.
The South Korean singer and 2PM member announced the good news to his fans in a statement on Instagram over the weekend.
"I felt it was my duty to be the first to share my news with you, who have always loved and supported me," he said in Korean and translated by Google into English.
"I've promised to spend the rest of my life with someone who has understood and believed in me for a long time. We will be each other's strong supporters and walk together through life together."
Taceyeon's agency, 51K, also confirmed the news via a statement, which Soompi published.
"The wedding will be held privately at a location in Seoul next spring, with only close friends, family, and relatives in attendance," the agency said.
"As [Taecyeon’s] spouse-to-be is not a celebrity, we ask for your generous understanding in regards to the fact that we will not be revealing further details."
The agency added that Taecyeon will continue to come out with projects even after his marriage.
Taecyeon's agency confirmed in 2020 that he was in a relationship.
He is the rapper of the South Korean boy band 2PM, which debuted in 2008. The group is known for the songs "My House," "Make It," "Hands Up," "Again and Again," and more. They released their comeback album “Must” in 2021.
Taecyeon is also a solo artist and an actor, with roles in "The First Night with the Duke," "Vincenzo," "Heartbeat," "Secret Royal Inspector and Joy," and more.
