Jeric Raval says AJ almost backed out of ‘Fast Talk’ interview: ‘Natatakot daw siya’

AJ Raval almost backed out of her “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview, her dad, Jeric, said.

On Thursday’s episode, Jeric shared how he expressed his support for his daughter and her decision to reveal her children.

“Bago kami mag-guest dito, ang sinabi ko naman kay AJ, kailangan i-ready mo na ‘yung sarili mo. And once and for all, para matapos na ‘yung mga ganiyang usapin, sabihin mo na. Wala namang masama tsaka kawawa naman ‘yung mga bata kung tinatago,” Jeric said.

The veteran actor also shared how AJ almost did not push through with the interview.

“Actually, kagabi, muntik pa siyang magback-out. Natatakot daw siya. Sabi ko ‘wag. Wala namang dapat ikatakot diyan. Mas maganda na ‘yung gan’yan. Matapos lang ‘yung kuwento na ‘yan,” he said.

Jeric also recalled how he also hid his kids, including AJ, back then from the public eye.

“Mas matagal silang tinago. Sabi ko iba kasi ‘yung panahon no’n, iba ‘yung panahon ngayon. ‘Yung noon, medyo madaling itago dahil wala namang cellphone, walang camera, etc. Eh ngayon, ‘pag tinatago mo ‘yan at nakita kayo…pini-picture-an kayo. So kung tuloy mong dine-deny ‘yan, lilitaw lang na sinungaling tsaka kawawa naman ‘yung mga bata,” he said.

AJ revealed in the interview that she has five kids, three are with Aljur Abrenica. The youngest, Abraham, is two months old. 

Earlier, AJ said that her love story with Aljur began in 2022. Aljur and Kylie Padilla separated in 2021.

AJ denied that she was the third party that caused the breakup between Aljur and Kylie.

AJ and Aljur made their relationship public on Valentine's Day 2023.
