An emotional Sef Cadayona shares receiving a sign from deceased lola through daughter
Sef Cadayona turned emotional during Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" as he talked about the various challenges he's been facing in his life.
But the "laking lolo't lola" comedian recalled one particularly challenging time when he was "very, very close to giving up" that he received a sign from his deceased lola.
"Feeling ko, I keep disappointing my parents, especially because it was them who helped me build and nurture my dream," Sef said.
At that time, while facing "difficulty with finances and trying to make ends meet, he prayed to his lola for a sign.
"Kasama ko si Anya, buhat-buhat ko siya, when out of the blue, sinabi niya, 'I see lola'," Sef narrated, clearly astounded from what the "one-year, eight-month old" baby said.
"Iniisip ko, anong lola to? Kasi for the longest time, nagdadasal ako sa lola ko, b?ka pwedeng mag-bigay ng sign," he continued.
He related how he asked his daughter the name of lola, and she answered "Meng."
Meng was the nickname of Sef's deceased grandmother — and the person after whom they named their daughter.
"That's when time stood still for me. Never ko naman minention yung name ni Lola kay Anya," he told Tito Boy.
""Hindi pa rin pala siya tumigil na [alagaan ako]," he added.
On Friday's episode, Sef also opened up about how a breakup helped him rebuild a stronger relationship with his fiancee.
