Miguel Tanfelix says his dad underwent surgery after accident at home

Miguel Tanfelix opened up on why his father was hospitalized recently, as seen on Mommy Grace's posts on social media.

On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Miguel said his dad had an accident at home and had to undergo surgery.

It happened when he was about to go home from his birthday trip in South America.

"Pauwi ako Tito Boy, imagine 32 hours ang biyahe pabalik tapos inooperahan siya nun. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari, s'yempre nakakakaba," he said.

Miguel's dad has now been discharged and recovering at home.

"Ok na po si Daddy ngayon thankfully," he said. "Lakas na nga ni Daddy eh. Kasi malakas din si Daddy, malakas sa pangangatawan, ang willpower niya."

Because of what happened to his dad, Miguel said he realized that it's better to celebrate one's birthdays with family. The actor decided to travel solo for his birthday this year, which saw him visit Brazil, Peru, and Argentina.
