Laureen Uy remembers baby girl one year after miscarriage
Laureen Uy is still grieving her lost baby girl, Miles, one year after her miscarriage.
In an Instagram Reel, the influencer shared clips from her pregnancy journey, as well as her healing journey with husband, Miggy Cruz.
“Feels just like yesterday since we lost you, Miles,” Laureen wrote in her caption. “One whole year since it felt impossible to get over our loss, but we were able to slowly find our way back to life again, one breath and one prayer at a time.”
“We felt grief, heartbreak, and a kind of emptiness we never knew a heart could hold. But because of this, we also grew stronger, loved deeper, and fought harder to keep moving forward.”
Laureen said she had a deeper connection with Miggy, “who held my hand the whole time, carried me on days I couldn’t carry myself, and always made me feel I was never alone.”
The content creator said she shared this story to honor their baby, who changed them forever.
“The past year has introduced me to pain I didn’t know could exist and resilience within myself I never knew was there. We’ll never stop praying and having faith that our story isn’t over— and that God has a better plan for us. A new chapter you’ll forever be part of,” Laureen said.
She also told mothers who have had similar experiences to never lose hope.
“Better days are coming for us. Have faith. Trust the journey and believe that light will return to your heart,” she said. “You are not alone—we hold each other up.”
Laureen and Miggy have been dating since 2016 They announced their engagement in 2023, and got married in April 2024.
In October 2024, Laureen announced that she and Miggy were expecting their first child together.
Then in December, Laureen revealed she suffered a miscarriage. Their baby girl’s heart stopped beating, and Laureen called it the “worst day of her life.”
Aside from content creation, the couple owns the businesses Hungry Homies and Flo All Day Drinking.
