Ellen Adarna shares 'sign' she received at the beginning of separation from Derek Ramsay

Ellen Adarna is just like us, asking for signs when met with uncertainty or when embarking on a big new thing.

On her Instagram Stories Thursday, the celebrity shared a photo of an artwork she received from artist Lynyrd Paras called "Malaya" and narrated what it meant.

"During the beginning of my whole separation, I kept asking the universe for signs just to know if I was doing the right thing," she began.

According to Ellen, the artist messaged her out of nowhere telling her he was sending over a gift to her.

"Then this arrived," Ellen said indicating the artwork of a woman with the scrambled letters of the word "Malaya" written on it.

She cried upon receiving it, Ellen said. "That was the sign. Malaya," she said.

In her post, Ellen thanked and tagged the 2018 CCP 13 Artists Awardee. "Grabe, we all cried, pati mga yaya ko, lahat kami nangilabot," she said.

In her next post, she shared another photo of another piece also by the artist.

Ellen jolted everyone in November when she disclosed the alleged infidelity of her husband, Derek Ramsay.

In her exposé, Ellen revealed they were no longer living together, that she was staying put in his house while her house was being renovated, and that she enlisted the local government's help in getting him to move out temporarily.

By late November, Ellen had packed up some 12 suitcases, ready to leave Derek Ramsay's home.

The couple had been the subject of breakup rumors for months with Derek denying they had split some time in September.
