Paolo Contis expresses gratitude to Lian Paz, John Cabahug for raising his daughters Xalene, Xonia well

Paolo Contis has nothing but gratitude for his ex-wife Lian Paz and her husband John Cabahug for the good upbringing of his daughters Xalene and Xonia.

In the latest episode of "Your Honor," the Kapuso actor opened up about his relationship with his daughters with Lian and how they patched things up.

"I have to give props to Lian and John. Kasi, of course, sa tagal namin hindi nagkita. Mayroong awkwardness 'yun. Definitely. Pero, they made sure that the girls grew up very respectful. And they really are," Paolo said.

"I'm very thankful that they grew up like that. You know? I have to say na Lian at si John, they did a great job sa mga bata," he said.

Paolo also said that he is thankful that his kids accepted him again to be part of their family.

"At this stage kasi, ano sila eh, they're old enough. I'm just here to listen and to guide them," he said.

Paolo, Xalene, Xonia, Lian and John recently attended Blackpink's concert, and according to the "Bubble Gang" star, it took a long process to get to where they are now.

"Hindi siya mangyayari kung hindi resolved lahat ng issues. Hindi siya puwedeng chop suey. Hindi siya puwedeng half-baked. Lahat ng forgiveness, ang moving on, ang lahat ng issue kailangan resolved," Paolo said.

His bonding moments with his daughters come at the heels of Paolo reuniting with Xalene, Xonia, Lian, and John last August. Back then, the actor promised "constant communication."

In a previous interview in "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Paolo said that he, Lian and John are now friends.

In recent months, the actor has been spending time with his daughters and sharing sweet messages.
