Zia Quizon explains meaning behind ‘proof of husband’ post

Zia Quizon has addressed the meaning behind her “proof of husband” post she shared back in 2022. 

During her guesting in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Monday, the singer and songwriter said that she wrote the post to end the confusion and speculation that her Serbian husband is a lesbian because of his name, Aleksa.

“May confused and I was like ‘No, he’s not.’ At that point mayroong mga, ‘I don’t believe you.’ Wala naman akong magagawa na parang everything I did. ‘Yung kamay niya, maliit daw. Parang ‘you know,” Zia explained.

“Even when I showed the picture of him. Of course, I had to ask him if you're okay with that, kasi I’m not sure how he might feel about those things. Pero ito na, the thing I was avoiding kind of parang inevitable." 

Despite posting a photo of her husband, Zia shared that people would still speculate about his gender identity. 

“Even when I showed the picture, parang trans daw siya. Parang either way you can’t win. And he’s a very masculine guy. Buti na lang hindi siya na-affect,” she shared.

Zia married Aleksa, whom she met on an online dating app, in 2022. 

Zia is the daughter of the late Comedy King Dolphy and his common-law wife, Zsa Zsa Padilla.
