Gabbi Garcia thrilled at parents' elaborate surprise during her flight: 'In fairness!'

Gabbi Garcia's parents threw her a birthday surprise that knocked the socks off the celebrity.

On Instagram, the Kapuso star shared snaps from her flight home where her mom was the designated pursuer.

Gabbi and her long-term boyfriend Khalil Ramos went to Shanghai for her birthday and narrated that "on our flight back to Manila, we were told that the purser was supposed to be a family friend from Mom’s work."

But her mom took the flight "just to surprise me," she continued, laughing.

"Nagkagulatan na lang kami on the plane when I realized siya pala yung purser ng flight namin. Sana inuwian pa kita ng dimsum from the airport, Mom," Gabbi wrote.

And as if that wasn't enough, her dad played a hand in the whole surprise set up by asking Gabbi to go on video as she was boarding in the guise of wanting to say hello to the purser who was their family friend.

"Yun pala, kaya niya pinapa-video kasi nanay ko pala yung andun," Gabbi said punctuating it her sentence with a laughing emoji.

"Surprise level [100%] in fairness," she said obviously thrilled.

Gabbi has long been a proud daughter of her parents, Vince and Tes Lopez. In 2023, she celebrated her mom's career milestone, after more than 30 years in service with Philippine Airlines.

She also constantly expresses her gratitude to her father, just like last Father's Day when Gabbi honored her dad "for raising me the best way you know how."  

Gabbi turned 27 on December 2, which Khalil marked with a romantic film complete with a narrated letter.

How lucky Gabbi truly is.
