Anne Curtis' mom Carmen pays tribute to late ex-partner James Curtis-Smith
Anne Curtis’ mom, Carmen, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her ex-partner, James Curtis-Smith, who passed away earlier this week.
Carmen shared a family photo with James, their kids Anne, Jasmine, and Tom, and expressed her “deepest sorrows.”
“Mr. Curtis-Smith, salamat for the memories that we've shared, hindi ko makakalimutan those old days.. and salamat because of the good things in life,” Carmen said.
“You're the man na nagbigay sa akin ng magandang buhay at hindi ko makakalimutan lahat, thankful kasi we stayed friends,” she added. “Thank you for the gift of our children, and for always loving them.”
Carmen also said they will “always put beer in basong may yelo for you.”
On Wednesday, Anne and Jasmine announced the “unexpected yet peaceful” passing of James. He was 82.
“A true patriarch in every sense, he shaped us with strength, resilience, and a wit that will forever echo in our family,” Anne wrote.
A cause of death was not revealed.
In 2023, James held an intimate 80th birthday celebration with his family in La Union.
Anne, her husband, Erwan Heussaff, and their daughter, Dahlia, were present on the occasion. Jasmine and Anne's half-siblings were also there with their children.
