Solenn Heussaff shares how 'bullied husband,' 'wifezilla' gag with Nico Bolzico started

Solenn Heusaff and Nico Bolzico are known for their funny skits on social media, with Nico calling himself the “bullied husband" and Solenn as his “wifezilla.”

On Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” Solenn shared that Nico was the one who came up with the bullied husband and wifezilla gag. 

“Si Nico ang nag-conceptualize dahil medyo strict ako pagdating sa bahay,” Solenn said.  

“The moment you enter the house, shoes off. Kasi ‘yung mga lalaki alam mo, they are not dirty pero pagpasok ko mayroong medyas sa couch, may mga t-shirt. Tapos kapag di ko tinanggal, it’s gonna be there for a month or two." 

According to the "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" star, her quirks and strict personality became Nico’s inspiration for the gag. 

“Ganon ang naging inspiration kay Nico. Marami akong quirks. You cannot exercise with bath towels, dapat may workout towel ka. So ganon, super clean.”

“If you go to my house, as in you can lick the floor sa linis.  It always looks like it's gonna be shot for a magazine kasi ‘yun ang gusto ko. Pag-gising ko sa umaga, lahat malinis,” Solenn said.

The actress added that Nico was the one who came up with the concept of their skits because he’s the funny one between them.

“He’s so fun. He comes up with all the concepts. Kasi ako wala ako masyadong comedy bone in my body pero siya talaga ‘yung meron,” she shared.

In the same “Fast Talk” interview, Solenn was asked by Tito Boy who among them gets jealous often. 

“Parang wala because we communicate a lot,” she answered.

Solenn also said that they never get jealous when they were still dating because they know themselves.

“Back then, when we were dating, wala eh. Hindi masyado cause we know who we are, we know what we want, and we know na hindi kami papatol.”

The couple tied the knot in 2016. They welcomed their first daughter, Thylane, in 2020 and second daughter, Maëlys, in December 2022.

They often share funny skits about married life online, with Nico always playing the role of a bullied husband. He uses the hashtag #BulliedHusbandsClub and even recruited his brother-in-law, Erwan Heussaff, and other celebrity friends to the hilarious fellowship.

In 2023, Nico released his book titled “Bullied Husbands Club - The Manual.”

The book contains 50 articles that serve as a guide for Nico’s fellow “members” on how to keep “Wifezilla” happy at all times.
