Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo answer: When will Dylan become an ate?

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo opened up about the possibility of expanding their family and shared how they’re enjoying every moment with their daughter Dylan for now.

In an interview on "Unang Hirit" Friday, the Kapuso couple was asked when Dylan might become an ate.

"Kung bibigyan kami ulit ng isa pa, bakit hindi," Jennylyn began.

"Pero sa ngayon, naka-focus kami talaga kay Dylan. Kasi, 'di ba, ang hirap eh. Toddler pa lang si Dylan. Gusto namin ibigay lahat ng atensyon," she added.

Dennis agreed, saying they're enjoying being hands-on in raising Dylan.

"Ang sarap tumutok para talagang kumpleto lahat ng mga kailangan niyang malaman, matutunan," he said.

Jennylyn also hinted that if they plan to expand their family, it might be when Dylan is a bit older.

"Siguro mga five, seven. Mga seven, ganyan. Ay, ano na ako no'n—Malay mo naman. 'Di natin masasabi, 'di ba?" she said.

The couple also expressed gratitude for the positive comments online about their family, especially as a blended family.

According to Dennis, the acceptance from netizens and their supporters is truly appreciated.

"Masaya, syempre. Dahil syempre 'yung acceptance na 'yun mula sa kanila at sa amin din syempre, sa buong pamilya namin, bibihira 'yung makabuo ng gano'ng klaseng set-up sa pamilya kaya na-appreciate namin kapagka may mga comments na magaganda tungkol sa parenting, lalo na kay Jen,” he said.

Dylan is Jennylyn and Dennis’ first child together, whom they welcomed in 2022. She is now three years old.
