Kris Bernal finds breastfeeding the 'hardest part of motherhood so far'

Kris Bernal has marked nearly two and a half years of breastfeeding, and shared that it's been the "hardest part of motherhood" for her so far.

On Instagram, the actress shared clips of her breastfeeding her daughter, Hailee Luca, who she welcomed in 2023.

"Some moments are sweet and peaceful, and others are overstimulating and exhausting. There are days it feels really heavy, especially when I'm tired from #HouseOfLies taping," Kris said.

"My baby isn't sleeping well at night with wake ups ranging from every 3 hours to every 1.5 hrs at some nights. I am still so sleep deprived. And yet, even on those days, I know this season is such a gift," she added.

Kris said that breastfeeding has taught her patience, resilience, and "the unspoken bond between a mother and her child."

"Sometimes weaning is not winning. So I'm just trying to soak it all in — the laughs, the closeness, and even the hard moments — because I know this is something I'm going to miss when it's over," she said. 

"For the moms going through something similar. You're not alone. I am with you," she added.

Kris married businessman Perry Choi in 2021. After giving birth to Hailee, she took a break from showbiz.

After a three-year hiatus, Kris officially made her TV comeback this January.

She now stars with Beauty Gonzalez in the series “House of Lies,” which airs on GMA Afternoon Prime at 3:20 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays.
