Ashley Ortega on her relationship with her mom: 'We're taking things slow'
Ashley Ortega opened up about her relationship with her mother on the latest episode of "Your Honor."
Chariz Solomon asked the actress about this and she answered, "OK naman, we're taking things slow."
"S'yempre, when I left home, talagang I know nasaktan ko siya. Devastated siya, and parang mga two years din siyang hindi ako ready kausapin," she added.
Ashley revealed that her mom still has "tampo" with her, but that she "would reach out from time to time."
"Pero once kasi na nag-show siya ng sign na 'wag muna, 'di ko muna pipilit. Kasi kilala ko si mama, 'di mo puwedeng ipilit kapag ayaw niya," Ashley said.
"Actually, nung naglayas ako, after a couple of months, nag-reach out ako," Ashley said, but that it did not work because it was still fresh.
During Ashley's stint in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," she had revealed that she had not spoken to her mom for three years and hopes she can forgive her.
Prior to being evicted in March, she received a letter of reconciliation from her mother. Ashley had also sent her mother flowers following her exit from "PBB."
In June 2025, Ashley shared in a GMA Integrated News interview that her mom still has not talked to her yet following her attempts to reconnect.
