Jaya to marry husband Gary Gotidoc again 20 years after first wedding
Jaya and her husband Gary Gotidoc are set to tie the knot again, this time in a church, 20 years after their first wedding.
On Instagram, the Queen of Soul revealed that Gary surprised her with a proposal on February 8 at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, with the help of their close friends.
"What? I really had no idea he was going to do this. We were married by a judge in 2006 while I was six months pregnant. But we both wanted to do a simple church wedding this year. So I guess he really had to propose," Jaya wrote in the caption.
She expressed her gratitude to her husband for asking her again and shared that she would "always say yes."
"I thank the Lord for keeping us together all these 20 years. Now we will get to do this under kingdom alignment and give each other our vows, for real! With Jesus Christ in the center, our children and dear friends, we can finally say I do and I will! I love you forever my love," she said.
Jaya also thanked their friends for helping Gary plan the surprise proposal.
Fans and fellow celebrities quickly reacted to the news. Among those who sent their well-wishes were Sofronio Vasquez, Rachelle Ann Go, Ogie Alcasid, and Carol Banawa.
Jaya and Gary are based in the United States.
They have two children together, Sabriya and Dylan. Gary also has a son, Gavin, from a previous relationship.
