Priscilla Meirelles shares daughter's heartfelt response to her divorce from John Estrada

Priscilla Meirelles shares daughter's heartfelt response to her divorce from John Estrada

Priscilla Meirelles opened up about her daughter Anechka's heartfelt and understanding response to her divorce from John Estrada

During her “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” guesting on Friday, the Brazilian beauty queen shared how her daughter told her to do what is best for herself and John, even if it meant going their separate ways.

“She said, 'Mommy you know it doesn’t really matter if you stay with didi — she calls her father didi —  or if you guys separate. What matters to me is that you are happy because that’s what's important to me, to see you happy, so if you think that’s the best decision, I trust you.' So that's what she told me and then I explained to her, 'yeah I think that's the best for me,'” Priscilla said.

In the interview, Priscilla also praised John for being a good dad and provider to Anechka and hopes he does not change when it comes to his obligations to their daughter.

"Perhaps [he was] not the best husband, sometimes he was good, but sometimes he was not good, but as a father, I really hope and pray that I picked right and I know he loves his daughter so much," she also said.

"So I told him whatever obligations you have with the child, you should pursue that because it's between you and her, I'm just the mediator between the two of you, but at the end of the day you know for a fact that your daughter needs your support."

Priscilla confirmed her divorce from John on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Friday, saying she filed for divorce in Brazil in 2024.

"So officially today as we talk, you are divorced?” Tito Boy had asked during their interview.

Priscilla answered, “Oh yeah. He has been informed last year, that's why he gave an interview saying that he would remarry me.”

John and Priscilla sparked separation rumors in July 2024 when the beauty queen left a cryptic comment on her husband’s Boracay post.

"Looking very divorced, Mr. Estrada @Lily Hallman_," the Miss Earth 2004 said.

Priscilla also commented the same username when a netizen asked who was the actor's companion in his visit to Boracay.

Following this, John issued a statement, admitting that he and Priscilla have "mutually agreed to take a break."

He also cleared the name of Lily Hallman, whom he said he only met in Boracay, adding that he is not in a relationship with her or any other woman.

John likewise slammed fake news peddlers who allegedly fabricated statements using his name after his controversial Boracay vacation.

However, Priscilla refuted John’s statement, saying that there was never any "mutual agreement" regarding their separation.

"We were married when I left the Philippines and we remain married as of this time," she said. "While there is indeed more to this story, it is not the appropriate time to delve into those details. Regardless of what those may be, however, it won't change the course of faith."

John and Priscilla got married in 2011. Their daughter, Samantha Anechka, was born in 2012.
