Aiko Melendez, Onemig Bondoc officially confirm their relationship

Aiko Melendez and Onemig Bondoc have confirmed their relationship.

In a YouTube vlog filmed at a resort in Zambales, the former actress-turned-politician said she is officially dating Onemig, her close friend of nearly 30 years.

"It's official. Yes, kami na po," Aiko said, describing Onemig as her "destiny."

The former matinee idol echoed the confirmation: "We are officially together."

"Sa mga gustong pumapel, sorry guys, may nanalo na. Isang hamak na businessman na nagmamahal nang tapat," he said.

In the same vlog, the couple shared that they initially did not want to put a label on their relationship, with Aiko saying they were "too old" for that.

"The reason why we weren't giving labels yet was because we were trying to catch up with the 29 years that [were] lost," she said.

"Now is the time," she added. "Kung ano 'yung pinagsasamahan namin sa everyday lives namin, kung paano 'yung pakikitungo namin sa isa't isa, that says it all."

Following the confirmation, Aiko took to Instagram to dedicate a post to Onemig, marking their first Valentine's Day as a couple.

"You are not just the love I asked for, you are the love I didn't even know I needed," she said.

In October 2025, Aiko announced her breakup from Zambales representative Jay Khonghun.
