Gian Magdangal, Lara Maigue welcome first child
Gian Magdangal and Lara Maigue have welcomed their first child!
Lara shared the news on Instagram, posting photos taken shortly after giving birth and introducing their son to the public.
“Looks like someone was too excited to meet us,” she wrote in the caption.
The new mom revealed that after performing on February 13, she unknowingly went into labor on Valentine’s Day. Their baby boy arrived on February 15 at 6:35 p.m.
“We thought we had a few more weeks until March — but I think our baby boy knew Mommy and Daddy still had shows lined up. He chose his own perfect timing,” Lara said. “Best surprise of our lives.”
“Welcome to the world, Mario Maigue Magdangal.”
Gian and Lara have been together since 2021. They announced their engagement in July 2025 and tied the knot in October.
In December, they shared that they are expecting their first child.
Gian is a theater actor who's starred in musicals like "Come Far Away," "Dear Evan Hansen" in Singapore, and "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."
Meanwhile, Lara is a classical opera singer who led the singing of the national anthem during President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s State of the Nation Address in 2023.
