Jasmine Curtis-Smith still grieving father's death

Jasmine Curtis-Smith is still grieving her father James, who died in January.

In her interview with Nelson Canlas' aired in "24 Oras" on Tuesday, the Kapuso actress revealed that she continues to mourn the passing of her father, especially during moments when she feels alone.

"Siyempre hiwalay pa rin kami [Anne Curtis] ng tinitirhan, inuuwian. So kapag kailangan namin 'yung isa't isa medyo may struggle din to reach other kasi magkaiba kami ng oras sa trabaho," Jasmine said.

"So I miss my family, I miss being with my mom. I think mahirap lang na hindi mo sila kasama lalo na kapag pagod ka. Kapag kailangan mo lang ng taong makikinig sayo, mahirap na hindi mo sila kasama," she added, getting teary-eyed.

One of their siblings returned to the Philippines to spend time with her.

Jasmine also shared that she has been making a greater effort to communicate more often with other family members.

"Bumabawi kami sa mga ganoong sandali siguro na maghanap na lang ng paraan if mayroong makakadalaw sa isa't isa or mayroong bang ilang araw na puwede akong bumisita sa kanila," Jasmine said.

"Kasi I think pagka naranasan mo na 'yung loss or 'yung pagkawala ng isang taong mahal mo sa buhay mas lalo mong gustong effortan 'yung taong nandiyan pa. At mas lalong gusto mong sulitin 'yung oras na mayroon ka with them," she added.

According to Jasmine, her upcoming projects help her to cope after her father's death.

She is set to star in the stage play "Endo" alongside Royce Cabrera and is also one of the celebrity dance performers in "Stars on the Floor" Season 2—Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
