Bela Padilla on breakup with Norman Bay: ‘Somewhere down the line, we’ll become friends again’
Bela Padilla opened up on her breakup with long-term boyfriend Norman Bay on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday.
According to Bela, they "reached the end of our chapter" and that the breakup was amicable.
She noted that Norman even visited her after they broke up, when he flew to the Philippines for a few weeks for a holiday.
“We spoke naman,” the actress said.
She added that they are “at a stage where we’re allowing ourselves to grow first.”
“I feel like somewhere down the line, we’ll become friends again. Ganun naman ako eh, I don’t harbor bad feelings with exes.”
Tito Boy then noted that Bela had posted a bouquet on Valentine’s Day.
Bela clarified that she is currently not in a relationship, adding, “But there is somebody that’s been making me smile. ‘Yun na lang muna.”
Bela and Norman were together for four years.
In an interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, Bela said the reason for their breakup was her moving back to the Philippines. Norman did not want to move here as he also has a successful career in London.
“A Special Memory” is adapted by National Artist Ricky Lee based on the hit Japanese series “Pure Soul." It follows Sandra, a designer diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's.
The film is set to premiere in Philippine Cinemas on March 11.
