Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio turn emotional as they share promises to each other
Elle Villanueva and Derrick Monasterio could not help but turn emotional as they shared their promises to one another.
The Kapuso couple guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday where the two were asked what their promise was to each other.
"My promise to you, love, is I'm gonna be a good provider," Derrick told Elle. "I'm gonna treat you the way you're supposed to be treated and hindi ko kakalimutan 'yung value mo kung paano ka pinalaki."
Elle, for her part, told Derrick that she would always understand him and care for him.
"Ako naman, promise ko sa 'yo forever kitang mamahalin — wait lang, bakit parang kasal na? Forever kitang iintindihin at aalagaan. Hindi kita papabayaan," she said.
The pair looked visibly emotional, turning teary-eyed upon their declaration of promises.
"Nakaka-touch lang kasi finally sa tagal, sa dami ng dumaan sa 'kin parang at least nahanap ko na and ang swerte ko talaga," Derrick said to Tito Boy.
During the episode, Derrick also shared that he wants to marry Elle. He noted that he knows he will be ready once he can provide Elle with everything she needs and when he already has his own house.
"Ako parang gusto ko lang, feeling ko sa sarili ko magiging ready lang ako 'pag ma-p-provide ko na sa kaniya 'yung mga kailangan niya, kung kaya ko na siya i-maintain ganun. 'Pag nagawa ko na 'yun, ready na 'ko. Tsaka 'pag may sarili na 'kong house," he said.
"Kasi ako sa sarili ko alam kong deep inside handa na 'ko eh, hindi na 'ko hahanap ng iba wala na 'kong mga ano, ganun."
Elle then revealed that Derrick had bought a plot of land near her home, in fact, just a few blocks away.
The couple also told Tito Boy that they still see themselves with each other five years from now, with Derrick hoping that they would be married by then.
"Sana, Tito Boy, kasi 30 na 'ko ngayon eh. Baka makawala pa, pakasalan na," he said.
Elle echoed the same sentiments but also acknowledged the pressure she feels at her age to already get pregnant.
"Minsan kasi alam mo Tito Boy, alam ko nasa age na 'ko na kailangan nang magbuntis, kailangan na mag anak, 'yun 'yung pressure sa babae, 'yung age, 'yung timeline, to get pregnant, but then I would think it's hard eh," she said.
"Nowadays, takot ako na mag-raise ng bata considering na ganito 'yung gobyerno and the political side natin, iba. So, 'yun lang naman 'yung iniisip ko kung bakit medyo hesitant pa 'ko," she added.
Elle and Derrick will star in the upcoming Kapuso series "Apoy sa Dugo" alongside Ashley Ortega.
The series will premiere on Monday, March 2, at 4:05 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
"Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" will thus return to its 4:45 p.m. time slot starting Monday.
