Nikko Natividad addresses viral video, begs forgiveness from family

Nikko Natividad has addressed the controversy brought by a viral intimate video that involves him.

In an interview posted on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel on Friday, the actor admitted that the incident happened years ago and stemmed from a moment of weakness.

“Walang words na pwedeng magpabawas o mag-cover up ng nagawa ko…Sa madaling salita, sabi ko sa wife ko nademonyo ako, natukso ako, bumigay ako,” he said.

He said that the incident happened around 2022 or 2023, but he had long feared that the video might eventually surface online, adding that he began receiving messages last year claiming that the clip was already being sold on Telegram.

Nikko admitted that he initially tried to keep it from his wife, Cielo Mae Eusebio, out of fear that their marriage would fall apart.

“Hindi ko lang kayang aminin sa kaniya kasi natatakot akong mawala siya. So sabi ko na lang pagsisisihan ko na lang sa sarili ko. Magbabago na lang, ‘wag ko na lang aminin sa kaniya,” he said.

When the video eventually circulated online and reached his wife, Nikko said he came clean, expecting that he would lose his family.

Instead, he said his wife chose to stay and eventually forgave him, something he described as one of the most difficult and humbling moments of his life.

“Sobrang buti ng asawa ko. Napakataba ng puso niya para magpatawad. Napakahirap pong magpatawad,” Nikko said. “Tumayo siya para sa akin. Siya ang nagsabi na ‘Magpa-interview ka. Sige. Kasi gusto ko makabalik ka sa dati.’ Ayaw niya ma-depress ako. Iniisip pa rin niya ako. Kakampi ko pa rin siya. Tumayo siya para sa akin na kahit galit na, nasasaktan siya ‘pag pinagsasalitaan ako ng mga tao. Ganun niya ako kamahal.”

Nikko also shared that their 10-year-old child became aware that there were issues in their household. While they did not explain the details, the child knew that it involved cheating.

Per Nikko, the child later sent him a message that deeply affected him.

“Sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Dad, I love you. I know God will forgive you,’” he said in tears.

Nikko said he does not plan to file a complaint against whoever released the video, saying he believes he should take responsibility for his actions.

“Hindi naman ako batang pinilit. May pag-iisip na ako eh. Kahit pilitin ka ng tao gumawa ng masama, may hustong pag-iisip na ako. So akin lahat ‘to. So-shoulder ko ‘tong pagkakamali na 'to. Wala akong sinisising tao. Walang galit na ‘Ikaw kasi, nilabas mo.’ Wala na. Ayoko na. Focus ako sa ginawa ko.”

Instead, he said he is focusing on repairing his relationship with his wife and children and proving through his actions that he has changed.

He also apologized to his supporters who once viewed him as a devoted family man.

“Sana bigyan nila ako ng chance din unti-unti. Sana mawala ‘yung galit nila sa akin, samahan nila ako sa pagbabago ko, at hindi ko sila bibiguin. Sana bigyan nila ako ng chance. Siyempre sorry sa kanila kasi hindi ako naging magandang halimbawa. Pero kung makikita pa rin nila ako, papatunayan ko na ang tao kayang magbago,” he said.

Cielo likewise addressed the issue in an Instagram post, admitting that things have been painful for her and explaining how she’s choosing to face it.

“I’m not pretending like nothing happened. I feel the pain every single day. Masakit na masakit. I acknowledge his mistakes and I know this is something that could have been avoided. I even prayed and asked God many times na sana panaginip lang lahat… but it’s not. Nangyare na ang nangyare. And now we have to face it. Matagal man na nagawa pero same pa din yung sakit. Wag nyo ako pag sabihan na ‘di ko maiwan dahil wala akong choice? Meron po. Meron akong choice at eto ang pinili ko ang magpatuloy. This is not just about me as a wife anymore. It’s about us as a family,” she said.

She also acknowledged that it will take time to rebuild the trust between them.

“My husband will take responsibility for what he did, and while he does that, ang focus ko ang sarili ko ang pagheheal ng puso’t isipan ko,” Cielo said. “Hindi po ito madali. It’s painful. It’s humbling. It’s uncomfortable. But if two people are willing to fight for their family, I believe things can still be fixed.”

“I don’t know what else to say except please… be KIND,” she added.

She ended her post by expressing gratitude to those who sent them thoughtful messages.

“We are trying. We are healing. And we are choosing to trust God through this,” she said. “That’s all I ask po respect and kindness.”

Earlier, Gil Cuerva also broke his silence on the issue where he is also involved.

"The video being shared online was recorded without my knowledge or consent during a private moment. The use of a hidden camera and the distribution of that recording are serious violations of my privacy and constitute a crime," the actor said.

"Thank you to my friends and family who reached out with support during this time, and thank you to those who spoke up to defend my name," he added. "That’s all that really needs to be said. I’m okay, I’m fine, and life goes on."
