In a quiet home in Marikina City, a simple yet powerful act of love unfolded within the family of Lorely "Lynne" Luzong, who is battling cancer.

In Mariz Umali’s report on “State of the Nation” on Wednesday, Mommy Lynne, who is currently battling stage 4 colon cancer, decided to shave her head as her hair began to fall out due to ongoing treatment.

As she had her hair done in a salon, her son Arel stepped forward with a razor in hand, shaving his head too. Moments later, his sister, Kat, joined in and shaved her own head as well.

The family’s heartfelt moment was captured on video and uploaded by Arel on his TikTok. It quickly resonated with netizens online, amassing over seven million views and more than 600,000 reactions, as of this writing.

'Yung support nila sa 'kin damang-dama ko," said Lynne in Umali's report.

According to Kat, she and her brother, Arel, did not hesitate to shave their heads for their mom.

Meanwhile, Lynne reminded those going through an illness not to keep their struggles to themselves, emphasizing the importance of letting their loved ones be part of the journey.

—Jade Veronique Yap/CDC, GMA Integrated News
