Ashley Rivera bares mom's battle with cancer

Ashley Rivera revealed that her mother is battling cancer.

In an Instagram Reel, the comedienne also known as Petra Mahalimuyak shared a video of her trying to make her mom laugh.

Ashley started singing "You Are My Sunshine" with a small megaphone to her mother in a hospital bed, but then she started crying.

"Please don't take my sunshine away," Ashley said in her caption.

"I wish this was just an April Fool's post but this is my reality now," she added.

Ashley then thanked everybody for the love and prayers.

"My mama bear is a fighter!" Ashley said.

In January, Ashley was the calendar girl for a liquor brand.

She appears in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" as the Batis ng Katotohanan.
