Kuya Kim touched by handwritten notes left at daughter Emman's resting place

Kuya Kim Atienza shared a heartfelt post after visiting the resting place of his daughter, Emman, where he discovered handwritten notes left by supporters.

On Threads, the Kapuso host posted photos of the messages , showing how her story continues to resonate with many.

“Visited Emmansky today. Saw some notes, you are seen and you are heard. Thank you for loving Emman,” Kuya Kim said.

One note written by a supporter from Las Piñas City read: “Kuya Kim, naging inspirasyon si Emman para sa amin. Naging inspirasyon siyang piliin lumaban sa buhay kahit hanggang ngayon na wala na siya.”

Another message came from a supporter who said they regularly visit Emman’s resting place for comfort.

“Hi Kuya Kim! My name is [redacted] po. I’m always commenting on your posts po, Kuya Kim. Sana po mabasa mo po ’to, at soon makita po kita.”

The sender of the letter apologized for often being there, explaining that the visits help ease their feelings and remind them to keep going.

“Gumagaan po kasi loob ko ‘pag andito  at lagi ko napapaalalahanan sarili ko na lumaban at mabuhay.”

They also expressed hope of meeting Kuya Kim someday and thanked him for Emman, whom they said they have come to love.

“After school, diretso po ako agad dito kahit malayo. Marami po ako ikukuwento, Kuya Kim.”

Emman’s passing was announced by her family in October last year.

She was 19 years old. 

In what would be her last broadcast message on Instagram, posted on September 1, she opened up about the pressures of social media and taking a break from TikTok.
