Doug Kramer reflects on life in Australia with family: 'It's been nothing short of amazing'

Team Kramer's three-month stay in Melbourne, Australia, is coming to an end in a week.

On Instagram, Doug Kramer and Chesca Garcia shared a joint post featuring family photos taken in the Land Down Under.

Their entire family temporarily moved to Australia in January for Kendra, Scarlett, and Gavin's respective sports training.

"Can't believe our three-month stay in Melbourne is coming to an end soon," Doug said.

"From establishing a new daily routine and watching the kids grow and improve in their respective sports," he added. "It's been nothing short of amazing!"

The former PBA player said the first month of their stay in Australia was focused on removing "bad habits and [improving] techniques."

The second month was about "getting stronger and getting used to their new techniques," while the final month was about "seeing if their new techniques become second nature."

"The kids are still a work in progress but they've improved leaps and bounds," Doug said. "This is but a first big step towards the bigger goals."

Their trip to Australia also allowed Doug to play basketball again and compete with friends.

Doug and Chesca have been married since 2008. In the past two years, their family has vacationed in London, the United States, Bali, and Paris.
