'Unang Hirit' throws despedida de soltera y soltero for Anjo Pertierra, fiance Eunice Jorge

Anjo Pertierra and his fiancée Eunice Jorge just received a massive pre-wedding surprise from their “Unang Hirit” family!

On Wednesday’s episode, Eunice and her band Gracenote took the stage at the UH Music Fest held at Bestlink College of the Philippines in Quezon City.

Anjo and fellow UH hosts Kaloy Tingcungco and Suzi Entrata-Abrera were also in attendance during the segment.

During their set, Gracenote performed “When I Dream About You” and “Wasabi,” which Eunice wrote for Anjo after they first met two years ago. It was incidentally during the UH's Campus Tour stop at the same school, where the band had also performed.

Fast forward to the present, and Anjo goes up on stage after Gracenote's performance. But in a surprise moment, Suzi and Kaloy unveil a special treat: a despedida de soltera y soltero, or a joint bachelor and bachelorette party for the couple.

The surprise was set up at a corner of the stage, adorned with bouquets and a wedding cake. Anjo and Eunice were then seated on a bridal couch, each wearing sashes that read “Groom-to-be” and “Bride-to-be,” while Eunice also donned a crown.

“Sobrang surreal kasi dito ko siya unang nakita," Anjo said. "Dito ko siya unang nakitang nag-perform ng live, so iba ‘yung history ng Bestlink College of the Philippines para sa amin.” 

Eunice’s parents, Belinda and Emanuel, as well as Anjo’s parents, Gloria and Joel, also made a special appearance, sharing their heartfelt messages and well-wishes for the couple.

“May isang verse lang ako na ibibigay sa kanila. A verse with a promise,” Belinda said, before referencing Matthew 6:33: 

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. May your love grow deeper each passing day, and may you always find yourselves going back to God and to each other in every season of life. We love you both, and we are so thankful. Anjo, welcome to our family.”

Gloria also warmly welcomed Eunice into their family, expressing gratitude for the happiness she has brought to her son’s life. 

“Eunice welcome to the family. From the very beginning we saw how much happiness you bring to our son’s life and for that we are truly grateful,” she said. 

She also said that while married life is a journey filled with love and learning, it also requires patience, encouraging Eunice to continue growing together with Anjo side by side.

“It’s full of love, learning and of course maraming pasensya ha. Habaan mo ‘yung pasensya sa anak ko. Habaan mo lang. But we know that both of you will grow together side by side and of course welcome to the family. For that we are truly grateful and blessed to have you Eunice,” Gloria added. 

Aside from the despedida celebration, “Unang Hirit” also surprised the couple with gifts, including a giant pillow printed with their faces and matching couple pajamas.

“Unang Hirit” host and news anchor Arnold Clavio, who will serve as one of the couple’s principal sponsors, shared his message for the pair.

“Kaligayahan sa inyong dalawa. Kayo ay itinadhana—sana huwag ninyong biguin ‘yon at panindigan hanggang sa huli sa gitna ni Hesus. Congratulations ulit! Love, love, love!” he said.

Anjo and Eunice got engaged in July 2025 on Eunice’s birthday.
