Mikee Quintos opens up on finding closure after breakup with Paul Salas

Mikee Quintos said she has found closure after her breakup with Paul Salas last year.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Sparkle star said she saw her ex-boyfriend at the Bida sa Arena celebrity basketball game on Sunday.

She also confirmed that they got to talk to each other during Mikoy Morales' bachelor party in February.

"We talked, OK naman. I'm not gonna deny, it was still painful. Masakit pa rin pero 'yung usap namin na 'to compared to our breakup last year is so much better," Mikee said.

"I found myself saying to him dito sa usap na 'to na parang eto 'yung gusto kong usap last year. Sabi ko sa kanya nun, ito 'yung kinailangan kong closure last year," she added. "Akala ko nga 'di ko na makukuha but at least nakuha ko pa rin."

Mikee said she's also in a much better place now, and that's probably why they were able to talk properly.

"Along the way, looking back, I was not just grieving us, the relationship. I also grieved a version of myself, 'yung Mikee na 'yun na was with Paul. I don't think I can go back to her. I love who I am now," she said.

Recently, the Kapuso actress became close with Heaven Peralejo, who also went through a breakup last year. Heaven was previously in a relationship with Marco Gallo.

Heaven joined Mikee on "Fast Talk" and they opened up on how their experiences helped them become friends.

On her breakup with Marco, she said she used to be angry but she has accepted that the relationship has reached its end.

"It was a beautiful love," she said. "I realized na hindi naman lahat ng tao, is meant to stay forever in your life. And sometimes dapat nandun lang siya sa season na 'yun ng storya ng buhay mo."

"And it's fine kasi at some point minahal naming 'yung isa't isa the best that we can."

Mikee and Heaven attended the same high school and became friends recently after their makeup artist connected them to each other. Last month, they went on a trip to Hawaii, where they experienced skydiving. —MGP, GMA News
