Ruffa Gutierrez greets ex-boyfriend Herbert Bautista on birthday: 'Wishing you continued success'

Ruffa Gutierrez has nothing but love for ex-boyfriend Herbert Bautista on his birthday.

Posting a video of the former Quezon City Mayor enjoying karaoke on TikTok, the actress wrote a heartfelt message for him.

“Happy birthday to my mentor, former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista. Wishing you continued success, happiness, and everything your heart desires,” Ruffa wrote.

Although life has taken them on different paths, Ruffa said she’ll forever be grateful to Herbert.

“I’ll forever be grateful for the memories, for teaching me the value of education, for inspiring me to be the best version of myself, and for the friendship we continue to share,” Ruffa said.

“You taught me so much during the time we had together. Have the best day ever.”

Ruffa confirmed their relationship in 2024. In a June 2025 “Fast Talk” interview, Ruffa admitted that she and Herbert are going through a “rough bump” and were not on speaking terms.
