Rufa Mae Quinto remembers late husband as she approaches first birthday without him
Rufa Mae Quinto looked back on happier times with her late husband, Trevor Magallanes, ahead of her first birthday without him this May.
On Instagram, the actress shared a photo of herself, Trevor, and their daughter, Athena, posing next to a dolphin during her birthday in Hawaii in 2024.
"We usually celebrate mother’s day , my Moms death Anniversary May 26, my birthday May 28 and father’s day when we travel! Ok ang lahat, pinaka masaya na taon magkasama …" she wrote in the caption.
Per Rufa Mae, she and Athena will be heading back to their home in San Francisco, California, this year without Trevor "physically."
"After everything! You will be in my heart forevermore!Go go go! First birthday ko na widow .. babang luksa. Luks like we made it! Anak! Naks!" she added
In January, Rufa Mae honored Trevor on what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary together and thanked him for their daughter.
“Salamat sa pang habang buhay na ikaw, Trev! Mula sa tummy ko siya inalagaan ko ng mabuti dala na din ng sobrang pag mamahalan natin,” she had said.
Rufa Mae broke the news of Trevor's passing on July 31, 2025, sharing that they were still gathering factual information. She later clarified that his death was not due to foul play or suicide, but rather natural causes.
Rufa and Trevor got married in 2016. They have one daughter, Athena, born in 2017. In early 2025, Rufa Mae said that she and Trevor were going through a rough patch, but that she had no plans to file for divorce.
