AJ Rafael, wife Alyssa welcome first child after 'rough' birthing experience
AJ Rafael and his wife, Alyssa, are now parents!
The Filipino-American singer announced on Instagram that they welcomed Anderson “Sonny” June Rafael on May 11, following a “rough” birthing experience.
“He came a little early and we had a rough birth day that I’m sure we’ll share about sometime, but we are so thankful and relieved to be on the other side of it all with the most precious child we could’ve ever dreamed of,” AJ said in his caption.
He also thanked their nurses and doula for being their rock.
“We love you, Sonny Boy!!! You’ve already made our world a million times brighter,” AJ said.
Meanwhile, in a separate Instagram post, Alyssa shared that she experienced “26 hours of labor."
"10 blood draws. 10 centimeters dilated. 2 hours of pushing. 30 seconds unconscious. 1 code blue. 1 beautiful little boy. Infinite love," she also wrote.
AJ and Alyssa got married in 2022.
In January, they announced that they were expecting their first child.
AJ is known for the songs “Without You” and “We Could Happen.”
