Lian Paz, husband John Cabahug graduate from college at 38
Lian Paz and her husband John Cabahug are now college graduates!
On Instagram, Lian shared photos from their graduation ceremonies at the Cebu Institute of Technology University.
Lian and John, both 38, earned degrees in communication and business administration.
"Thank You, Lord Jesus, for allowing us to grow not only in knowledge, but in faith and in calling together as husband and wife," Lian wrote.
In a separate post, Lian reflected on her achievement.
"Lahat ng pain sa buhay ko, ako lang ang gumawa. I thought I already missed out on the plans na mayroon si Lord para sakin, pero siya ang author ng buhay ko," she said.
She dedicated her diploma to her parents.
Lian also expressed pride for her husband John.
"My Leonhardt, at 38, God proved that setbacks were never the end of your story, they were setups for something greater," she said.
"I’ve seen the insecurities you quietly carried, the doubts you tried to hide, and the moments you questioned your worth and capability. But I also saw how God slowly answered every prayer I whispered for you," she added.
Lian said that "some things had to fall apart so God could build something stronger within you."
"I am so proud of the man you are becoming, my love," she said.
Lian and John tied the knot in Cebu last year.
Lian was previously married to Paolo Contis, but they separated in 2012 and their marriage was later annulled.
The ex-couple have two kids together, Xalene and Xonia.
Paolo recently reconciled with Lian and their kids, and have been spending time with the family, along with John.
