Girls' Generation's Sooyoung, Jung Kyung Ho split up after 14-year relationship
Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung and South Korean actor Jung Kyung Ho have broken up after 14 years.
Citing a media outlet, Soompi reported on Tuesday that the long-time couple “grew distant due to their increasingly busy schedules and naturally went their separate ways.”
In response to the report, Sooyoung and Kyung Ho’s talent agencies confirmed the news.
“It is true that they have broken up. They have decided to remain good colleagues,” Sooyoung’s label SARAM Entertainment said.
Kyung Ho’s agency Management Allum also shared, “It is true that they have broken up. As it is a private matter, it is difficult to provide further details."
Sooyoung and Kyung Ho started dating in 2012 and revealed their relationship two years later in January 2014.
Sooyoung debuted with Girls’ Generation in 2007 and is known for their hit songs “Gee,” “Genie,” and “I Got A Boy” among others.
Aside from being a K-pop idol, Sooyoung is also an actress appearing in several K-dramas, such as “So I Married an Anti-fan,” “Run On,” and “I Dol I,” among others.
Meanwhile, Kyung Ho is known for his roles in “Hospital Playlist” and “Prison Playbook.”
