Even before making headlines as Joe Alwyn’s new love interest, Sarah Pidgeon had already risen to international fame thanks to her lead role as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in the series “Love Story.”
Earlier in June, Sarah and Joe were spotted getting cozy in Brooklyn, New York, sparking rumors of a budding romance in the City That Never Sleeps.

Sarah was born on July 7, 1996, in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Wylie E. Groves High School and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama.
2. Acting is her passion.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Sarah said that acting has always been her passion. She attended a summer program at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy to hone her craft.
During her early years as an actress in her hometown, she appeared in Detroit community theater productions of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Willy Wonka.”
Fast forward to 2026, Sarah is set to star opposite Liam Hemsworth in Paul Schrader’s erotic thriller “Non Compos Mentis.”
3. She turned blonde for 'Love Story'
Unlike Carolyn's signature blonde hair, Sarah is naturally brunette and dyed her hair blonde to portray the role. She starred in “Love Story” opposite Paul Anthony Kelly, who played the late John F. Kennedy Jr.
4. She’s a Tony Award nominee
In 2024, Sarah received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in the play “Stereophonic.”
She also starred in the horror remake “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (2025) and the series “Tiny Beautiful Things” (2023).
5. She’s a brand ambassador.
Following her breakout success in “Love Story,” Sarah became a brand ambassador for Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand Rhode alongside Alexandra Saint Mleux.
