James Blanco says he was hurt when son Iñigo Jose revealed separation with wife in 'PBB'

James Blanco admitted he was hurt when his son Iñigo Jose revealed his separation with wife Tania Creighton during an episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.”

During his guesting in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” with “You’re My Favorite Song” co-star Katya Santos, the former matinee idol said he's always kept his personal life private, so Iñigo's revelation was difficult for him to accept.

“Nasaktan ako. Kasi Tito Boy alam mo naman ‘yung buhay ko, nasa showbiz ako pero hindi ko inilalantad ‘yung buhay ko sa industriya so siyempre nasaktan ako na kabilin-bilinan ko sa kaniya na ‘yung personal life natin hiwalay ‘yun. And siyempre maraming mga tao na hindi naiintindihan ‘yung situation, so masakit. Masakit para sa akin.”

James also revealed that he and Iñigo have yet to discuss the matter, as his son has been busy with his commitments.

In a December 2025 episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” Iñigo recalled how his parents' separation affected him when asked by Kuya about the biggest challenge he had faced in life.

“Nakita ko na parang in a way, perfect ‘yung family namin and then ayun ‘yung nangyari. Mas naging madali para sa akin na imbes na harapin. Kasi pag hinaharap ko, ang hirap eh. And then pagka-ilet go ko naman, parang it feels like walang problema,” Iñigo shared.

James and Tania got married in 2002. Aside from Iñigo, they have two other children: Natalia and Sebastian.

“You’re My Favorite Song” airs weekdays on GMA Afternoon Prime at 4:00 p.m. Apart from James, it stars Iñigo’s fellow PBB Collab 2.0 housemates Caprice Cayetano, Heath Jornales, Marco Masa, Waynona Collings, Lee Victor and Princess Aliyah.
