Bea Alonzo, Jennylyn Mercado, Solenn Heussaff, other Filipino celebs who tied the knot in civil ceremonies
More and more Filipino celebrities are opting for civil weddings. For some, the intimate ceremony serves as their official wedding day, while others choose to hold a civil wedding first before celebrating with a larger destination wedding later on.
Aside from Bea Alonzo, who recently tied the knot with Vincent Co in a civil ceremony at the Makati City Hall, other celebrities have also said their "I do's" in a civil wedding. Here's a look at some of them.
1. Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico
Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico got married in a civil ceremony in Argentina in 2015. A year later, they held a church wedding at Église Notre-Dame de Combourg in France, attended by their family and friends.
2. Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo
Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo skipped the traditional church wedding and tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony in 2021.
3. Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero
Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero got married in a civil wedding in 2022 after 18 years of being together. The wedding took place three months after their engagement in Boracay.
4. Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa
Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa tied the knot in a civil ceremony in 2021, presided over by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
5. Maja Salvador and Rambo Nunez
Maja Salvador and Rambo Nunez held a secret civil wedding at the Grand Hyatt Manila in 2023 before flying to Bali, Indonesia, for their destination wedding.
6. Georgina Wilson and Arthur Burnand
Georgina Wilson and Arthur Burnand exchanged their I Do’s in a civil wedding in Hong Kong in 2016. In the same year, the couple got married again in a church wedding in Winchester, England.
7. Angel Locsin and Neil Arce
Angel Locsin and Neil Arce got married in an intimate civil ceremony in 2021, where they exchanged vows.
8. Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo
Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo surprised everybody when they tied the knot in a cute City Hall wedding in Quezon City in 2024, attended by their families and closest friends.
9. Kristoffer Martin and AC Banzon
Kristoffer Martin tied the knot with his non-showbiz partner, AC Banzon, in a civil ceremony in Capas, Tarlac, in 2022.
