Spanish food fest Madrid Fusión goes to Manila in April

Madrid Fusión Manila is meant to celebrate and revive the ties between Spain and the Philippines.
The Flavors of the Philippines Festival is a month-long culinary celebration with food-related cultural events happening all over the metro, including food tours, food trucks, bar crawls and a tapas festival.
For the International Gastronomy Congress, which will be held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from April 24 to 26, Madrid Fusion will bring over prestigious Spanish chefs to talk about the latest culinary trends with their Philippine and Asian counterparts.
From Spain, participating in this event are:
- Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz (2 Michelin stars, 3 Repsol suns)
- Elena Arzak of Arzak (3 Michelin stars, 3 Repsol suns)
- Quique Dacosta of Denia (3 Michelin stars, 3 Repsol suns)
- Ramón Freixa of Ramón Freixa Madrid (2 Michelin stars, 3 Repsol suns)
- Francis Paniego of Echaurren (2 Michelin stars, 3 Repsol suns)
- Paco Roncero of La Terraza del Casino (2 Michelin stars, 3 Repsol suns)
- Mario Sandoval of Coque (1 Michelin star, 3 Repsol suns)
- Paco Torreblanca of Torreblanca Bombonerías (Best Pastry Chef in Spain and Europe)
The featured Filipino chefs at the congress will be:

The Trade Exhibition will be open to industry professionals, and on the last day wil be open to foodies as well. It will feature products from Spain and the Philippines, including wines, cheeses, sausages, hams, beers, and sweets from Spain and rice, coffee, mangoes, coconuts, chocolates, cheeses, nuts and salts from the Philippines.
