WATCH: 1-km ‘healthy’ boodle fight in La Union

Residents of Agoo in La Union province on Monday took part in a "healthy" boodle fight promoting the town's pride: dinengdeng.

Dinengdeng, a local vegetable-based dish noted for its being healthy, is at the center of the town's annual Dinengdeng Festival.

Some 50 kilos of vegetables were cooked in a giant pot and placed on tables stretching one kilometer long, GMA Dagupan's Joanne Ponsoy reported Tuesday on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon."



Some 2,000 people took part in the boodle fight, while those who could not take part still lined the streets for a chance to taste the dish for free.
