Pop-up Hello Kitty Cafés to pave way for real thing in March

Two pop-up Hello Kitty Cafés are now offering coffee and cake in Metro Manila: one at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City and the other at the Fiesta Duty Free Mall in Parañaque. The latter was visited by this author today.

Taking after Hello Kitty Cafés in Japan, the US, Turkey and South Korea, the cafe is everything a Hello Kitty lover dreams of. This themed nook lives up to its name, with its pink interiors, a life-sized kitty house, and a collection of Hello Kitty merchandise.

Doughnuts, cakes and cupcakes adorned with images of the beloved feline character complement the hot cocoa and coffee served up with similar images stenciled in cinnamon on the foam.

The Mall of Asia branch is open to the public until January 6, while the Fiesta Duty Free Mall pop-up can be enjoyed until the end of January.
