Hungry man gets free pizza from restaurant employee

The generosity of a food service employee to a hungry old man is making the rounds online.

Lia Mañalac Del Castillo, a former GMA News reporter, was witness to the scene, which involved a man at a restaurant looking for scraps to eat.

The employee approached the man and decided to give him a pizza, which was supposed to be hers as part of the restaurant crew.

"I don't know, I've done stories like these when I was a reporter and it never gets old. The kindness of people, the generosity and selflessness of others still amazes me. I told my husband, the waitress could have shooed the old guy away but she didn't. She didn't give him a set meal (which was what I expected), and instead gave him her free box of pizza. One whole box," Lia wrote.
