Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez shows off santol, avocado harvest from own backyard
Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez has proudly shared a photo of the santol and avocado fruits harvested straight from his own backyard.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the mayor posed for a photo with two containers full of fruits.

“I am so happy to see how much we were able to harvest today from the santol and avocado trees in our backyard,” he said.
“As the saying goes ‘the thankful receiver bears a plentiful harvest.’”
Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic started, Gomez had advocated for growing one’s own garden at home.
He shared in another post that he and his council members started a community garden program during the lockdown. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
