Kara David shares easy recipe for yummy pandesal pudding
Do you want to try something new for breakfast?
In the latest episode of her online show "ECQusina," Kara David made some tasty pandesal pudding using only a few simple ingredients at home.
Prepare the following ingredients:
- Pandesal
- Evaporated milk (2 cups)
- Melted butter (2 tbsp)
- 4 Eggs (whole)
- 1 Egg yolk
- Brown sugar (3/4 cup)
- Cinannon (1 tsp)
- Vanilla extract (1 tsp)
Kara started by slicing the pandesal into quarters, then popping them in an oven toaster. This dish is perfect for those who have some stale pandesal lying around.
While the pandesal toasts, get started on the pudding mixture containing melted butter, evaporated milk, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
Take the pandesal out of the toaster and placed it in a large cake pan. Pour in the mixture carefully, making sure the pandesal soaks it up evenly.
Make sure you pre-heat your oven before finally baking your pandesal pudding.
To make the pudding even tastier, Kara made some butterscotch sauce. She just melted some butter in a small pan, then added brown sugar and 1 cup of condensed milk.
Bread pudding was known in England as the "poor man's pudding" because it was popular with the lower class who wanted to savor even stale, leftover bread.
"ECQusina" is an online cooking show where "Pinas Sarap" host Kara David goes live on Facebook every Thursday to show viewers how to make the most out of simple ingredients and daily grocery items at home.
Celebrity guests also share tasty home recipes every Friday.
