Cook ginataang sitaw at kalabasa with these easy steps

Ginataang sitaw at kalabasa isn't just a nutrient-filled dish, it's also easy to make!

In an "ECQusina" episode on Friday, Kara David showed viewers how to make the dish by using gata ng niyog or coconut milk, squash, sitaw or string beans, and ground meat.

First, simply put oil in a pan and saute minced onion, garlic and ginger. Then, add the ground meat until it's properly cooked.

"Make sure lutong-luto siya," Kara said.

Once the meat is cooked, add salt and the chopped squash. Put a lid on the dish first while it cooks to give the squash time to soften.

Afterwards, add the string beans and the gata. You can opt to add pepper and chili pepper to your liking. Once everything is properly cooked and mixed together, you now have your own ginataang kalabasa at sitaw dish! —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
