Ed Caluag shares his scarily good recipe for ginataang bilo-bilo on 'Pinas Sarap'
Ed Caluag is the person you call in the case of paranormal encounters, but apparently you can count on him in the kitchen, too!
In an episode of Pinas Sarap, the paranormal investigator shared a special recipe of binignit or ginataang bilo-bilo.
He said that he got the recipe from his grandmother.
"Narito ako ngayon para magluto, hindi ako nagpunta rito para makipag-away," Ed said jokingly.
In true Ed Caluag fashion, he talked through his cooking using lines he usually recited in his hair-raising investigations.
"Nararamdaman ko nang umiinit na siya," he said at some point, referring to the simmering pot of bilo-bilo.
To make ginataang bilo-bilo, you'd need cornstarch, gata, sweet potato, glutinous rice dough, sago, and sugar.
The first thing Ed dropped into the pot of milky liquid were the kamote slices so they could soften. And then he balled up the glutinous rice dough and put that in next.
Add in the sago and some langka as a final touch, mix them all together, and you're done!
Hosted by Kara David, "Pinas Sarap" takes its viewers on weekly adventures that give them a deeper appreciation for Filipino food. —JCB, GMA News
